Andrzej Tatarski

Andrzej TatarskiAndrzej Tatarski completed his piano studies with first class honours at The Academy of Music in Poznań in the class of professor Olga Iliwicka-Dąbrowska. He mastered his piano skills under the supervision of professor Vlado Perlemuter in Paris. He is a member of the jury in piano competitions in Poland as well as in international ones. He gives lectures at master courses in Poland and abroad. Moreover, he leads a piano class at The Academy of Music 'I.J. Paderewski' in Poznań.

Kurzyński Grzegorz

Kurzyński GrzegorzGrzegorz Kuczyński – professor at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław; a pianist; academic title – Professor of Music; he was born on 23 February in 1943 in Poznań. His career includes: piano studies at the State Higher School of Music in Wrocław (1972); Royal Conservatory of Brussels (1984); postgraduate master studies at Julliard School of Music in New York directed by professor Joseph Kalichstein and professor Abbey Simon (1987); the title of Professor of Music (1992).

Maria Murawska

Maria MurawskaShe was born in Chełmno. Started her piano studies at PWSM in Poznań in 1977 (the class of professor Olga Iliwicka-Dąbrowska). From 1978, she continued her studies at PWSM in Bydgoszcz in the class of professor Jerzy Godziszewski, she received her diploma in 1982. She mastered her skills at a pianist course in Weimar (1980) under the supervision of professor Ludwig Hoffman as well as during her internship at Russian Academy of Music in Moscow (1996) under the supervision of Wiera Nosina.

Poznańska Orkiestra Kameralna

Poznańska Orkiestra KameralnaPoznańska Orkiestra Kameralna is a traditional chamber orchestra but it can also suit the tastes of contemporary listeners. It is one of the few orchestras which combines classical music with popular music. The orchestra was founded in 2008 in the Cultural Centre “Zamek” in Poznań. Its founder, art director and conductor is Maciej Paweł Sztor.

Torun String Quartet

Torun String QuartetTorun String Quartet was set up in 1995. The members of the group are also members of Torun Symphony Orchestra. The group gives concerts at numerous prestigious events in Poland and abroad. Its repertoire includes music of various kinds and from different ages, from baroque music to contemporary chamber and light music.

Dariusz Jakubowski

Dariusz JakubowskiHe is the vice-chairman of The Association of Polish Artists. He studied at the State Higher School of Theatre in Warsaw. Since 19984 he has acted at the stages of “Studio” Theatre from Warsaw. He participates in music festivals regularly, preparing , together with the musicians, music-literary evenings among which were: Early Music Festival at Royal Castle in Warsaw, Festival Chopiniana at Royal Lazienki Park in Warsaw, Festival of Organ and Chamber Music in Slupsk, Sanniki, Szafarnia Festival of Chamber Music in Radom-Orońsko.

Russkaja dusza

Russkaja duszaThis young group comes from Torun and specializes in romance and Russian songs. It was set up over a year ago and since then has appeared on Polish TV and also given several concerts in the regions of Pomerania, Kujawy and Bialostocczyzna as well as abroad – in Germany. Magdalena Cysewska and Michał Hejduczenia win the hearts of new listeners playing their instruments – an accordion and a violin. Misza’s electrifying voice is an extra asset.

Dominika Eska

Dominika EskaShe graduated with first-class honours from the Academy of Music in Krakow in the piano class of professor E. Bukojemska in 2004. Then she completed her postgraduate studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in the piano class of professor E. Tarnawska (first-class honours, 2005).

Joanna i Klaus Maurer

Joanna i Klaus MaurerThe Joanna and Klaus Maurer duo performed in The Chopin Centre in Szafarnia on 31 May 20009. They presented the Spanish XX century composer J. Rodrigo’s works for piano and violin. Joanna Brzezińska Maurer, who was born in Torun, moved to Switzerland in 1997. Since then she has been a part of the duo with her husband who is a violinist and a conductor. In 1999 she became a piano teacher at the Conservatoire Populaire de Geneve. In 2000 she fulfilled the dream of all pianists playing Rachmaninov’s Concerto III to a huge audience in the Victoria Hall in Geneva.
Since 2001 she has been playing in the ensemble “Quintet Opus 23”, performing the major masterpieces of chamber music of the following artists: Schumann, Brahms, Dvorak and Shostakovich. Since 2003 she has been busy organizing cultural exchanges of students between music schools in Poland and the CP in Geneva. In 2004 she recorded a CD with Chopin’s works which was positively evaluated by the critics.

Angel Tellechea Goyena

Angel Tellechea GoyenaOn 28 June The Chopin Centre in Szafarnia welcomed Angl Telechea Goyena ,the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Spain. The consul has actively promoted the Centre in Spain. During his stay he was presented with the history of The Centre as well as its plans regarding its cultural activities and promotion. Our guest met the local government’s representatives the mayor – Roman Tasarz and vice-mayor Izabela Lewandowska and also the rector Jarosław Kulesza.
