Last Sunday, our guests could listen to the music played by contemporary Japanese composers. Most of them had never listened to the music of the Far East before. The musicians not only performed the pieces  but also talked about the music, its specificity and notation. After the concert, there was a special attraction for the guests – Sushi tasting – prepared by a restaurant chain DOM SUSHI (Sushi House). The idea was accepted with enthusiasm by the guests. The manager of Sushi House, Kamil Augustynowicz, answered all the questions concerning the dish.

The Chopin Centre is organizing the National Art Contest for Children and Youth for the 19th time.  This year is very special for us – because it is devoted to F. Chopin – we want to encourage a great number of people to participate. We welcome all of you wishing to take part! Detailed regulations can be found under Contests and Competitions.

On Sunday, in the Chopin Centre, there was a concert given by one of the most distinguished Polish pianists.

The numerous guests could listen to: Fantasy f minor, Scherzo B-flat minor, Ballade f major, Nocturne F-sharp minor and Polonaise A-flat major. The pieces were played with the painting by Mariusz Kołdakowski in the background who, together with the pianist, gave autographs after the concert. The meeting was conducted by Gabriela Ułanowska. Again Chopin Bus proved to be of great interest to many of you.

On St Valentine’s Day,  Chopin Bus, brought numerous music lovers from Toruń and Golub Dobrzyń  to the concert of Piotr Paleczny.

More and more people are becoming interested in using the Bus not only as a means of transport but also an occasion to meet and talk to their friends and other music lovers.

Although the Bus is running for the second time, this time it looks much different – it has been painted and some information has been displayed on it! We invite you to come to us in our Chopin Bus  - next Sunday it will take you to the concert of Japanese Music and Sushi tasting!
