Chopin Centre in Szafarnia  :)

One of the most appreciated polish jazz pianist.

He was performing with such musicians as: Tadeusz Nalepa, Urszula Dudziak, Grażyna Auguścik, Lora Szafran, Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Deborah Brown and many others.
He is performing improvising solo music as one of not many.
At the sunday concert in Szafarnia he will present his own project of author Mazurkas which were inspired by Chopin's tradition and polish folk music.
As a part of the concert we will hear also his own music compositions from his solo album "Błękitna Ścieżka" ( "Blue Path" ), inspired by both, classical and jazz music.

The concert is on sunday 06.06.2010 at 5pm.

Last Sunday, our guests could listen to the music played by contemporary Japanese composers. Most of them had never listened to the music of the Far East before. The musicians not only performed the pieces  but also talked about the music, its specificity and notation. After the concert, there was a special attraction for the guests – Sushi tasting – prepared by a restaurant chain DOM SUSHI (Sushi House). The idea was accepted with enthusiasm by the guests. The manager of Sushi House, Kamil Augustynowicz, answered all the questions concerning the dish.

The Chopin Centre is organizing the National Art Contest for Children and Youth for the 19th time.  This year is very special for us – because it is devoted to F. Chopin – we want to encourage a great number of people to participate. We welcome all of you wishing to take part! Detailed regulations can be found under Contests and Competitions.
