LIANGZIYOU LU
Liangziyou Lu, also known as Peter, is 11 years old. Peter is currently a pre-college student majoring in Piano at Tianjin Juilliard School, studying under Dr. Konstantinos Valianatos. Since the age of three and a half, Peter began his journey with the piano, showing a natural affinity and profound love for music.
Beyond his dedication to the piano, Peter has a strong interest in various music genres, including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and even Jazz. Additionally, he draws inspiration from movies and football, which he believes enhance his understanding of musical compositions.
Peter has participated in several piano competitions and achieved excellent results. He won first prize or top honors in many of these competitions. For example, in 2020, he won first prize at the 29th Annual United States Open Music Competition and the gold award in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2021, he won the special prize in Group 14 and first prize in Group 31 in the finals of the 7th Germany (Tsingdao) Irmler International Piano Open Competition. In 2021, he also won fourth prize in the Amateur Group 2 of the National Finals of the „Pearl River · Kaiserburg” International Youth Piano Competition and the first prize in the 8th GOCAA International Piano Competition (Preliminary) Children’s Group B. In 2022, he won first prize in the Children’s Group A of the National Elite Competition at the 19th „Xinghai Cup” National Piano Competition, and more.
With the help of his professor, Peter has broadened his understanding of music, soaking up knowledge like a sponge. As a passionate young pianist, Peter continues to make progress day by day.
