JOHANA VÍTOVÁ
Since 2021, she has been studying at the Gymnázium a Hudební škola hlavního města Prahy (High School and Music School of the Capital City of Prague), where her main instrument is the piano.
From 2015 to 2021, she studied piano at the Ilja Hurník Elementary Music School.
Competitions and Awards
• In 2024, she won the 2nd prize at the Prague Junior Note competition.
• In 2023, she received the 2nd prize at the International Piano Contest Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte.
• That same year, she was awarded the 1st prize at the Prague Junior Note competition.
• In 2023, she earned a Distinction at the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia.
• In 2022, she won the 1st prize and a special prize at the St. Cecília International Competition in Porto.
• In 2021, she received the 2nd prize at the International Mozart Piano Competition Amadeus in Brno.
• In 2021, she also placed 2nd at the Prague Junior Note competition.
• In 2020, she again earned the 2nd prize at Prague Junior Note.
• In 2019, she won the 2nd prize and a special prize at the Young Pianists Play on Steinway competition.
• That same year, she was awarded the 2nd prize and a special prize at the International Competition Pro Bohemia Ostrava.
• In 2018, she received the 1st prize at Karlovarská růžička.
Masterclasses and Consultations
She has participated in several notable masterclasses and consultations, including:
- Clara Biermasz – Meisterklassen Gutenstein, 2024
- Ivan Klánský – Masterclass received as part of a special prize from Young Pianists Play on Steinway in 2019. Since then, she has had regular private consultations with him and also serves as a model student during his seminars for piano teachers.
- Leonel Morales – Masterclass in Granada, 2023
- Marek Kozák (semifinalist of the XVII International Chopin Piano Competition) – Masterclasses in Český Krumlov in 2022, 2023, and 2024, along with regular chamber music lessons. Under his guidance, she prepared and performed Mozart’s Piano Concertos K. 413 and K. 414.
- MenART Program (2020–2021) – Studied under Ivo Kahánek as part of a scholarship for talented children provided by the Magdaléna Kožená Foundation.
Notable Concerts
She has performed at several prestigious events, including:
- Prague Spring Festival 2021 – as part of the MenART concert series
- Smetanova Litomyšl 2021 – also part of the MenART concert series
- Martinské slavnosti klavíru (Martin’s Piano Festival) in 2022 and 2023 – where she performed Mozart’s Piano Concertos K. 413 and K. 414 with a string quintet
