GUILLAUME BÉNOLIEL
Born in 2013, Guillaume Bénoliel began to study piano at the age of four and a half years old. At 5 years old, he was admitted to the conservatory of Val d’Yerres in France, and he joined the Schola Cantorum in Paris. At only 8 years old, he was admitted to the Regional Conservatory of Paris in the class of his teacher Yves Henry. He is also in the class of Caroline Cervera for violin.
Since he was young, he has been taught by Igor Lazko. He has also received advice from other eminent pianists and pedagogues such as Jean-Bernard Pommier, Claire Désert, and Romano Pallottini.
Guillaume won his first trophy when he was 6 years old. He has received numerous first prizes in national and international competitions and has played with orchestras such as the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra.
At the age of 6, Guillaume had his moment in the spotlight in Salzburg, the Austrian city. Guillaume was selected to perform on stage in a concert after winning the first prize and the special prize at the international competition Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso 2020.
In December 2021, as the youngest competitor, Guillaume brilliantly presented himself in the Nutcracker competition in Moscow. He is the youngest finalist of this prestigious competition, the first Frenchman to win an award, and at only 8 years old, was invited to perform with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra in the Great Hall of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
In April 2022, Guillaume claimed the 1st Prize with Jury Felicitations at the 20th International Scriabin Competition in Paris, a remarkable achievement that highlighted his exceptional talent at such a young age.
In February 2023, Guillaume received a special prize at the Nohant Chopin Festival in France for the best interpretation of Frederic Chopin’s works as part of the Young Talents competition. The same year, Guillaume performed at the Salle Cortot in Paris during the traditional Nohant Chopin Festival launch concert, where he rubbed shoulders with prestigious elders without being impressed in the least.
Guillaume is invited to numerous festivals in France and internationally such as “Nohant Festival Chopin Hors les Murs”, “Festival Cap-Ferret”, “Les Musicales d’Automne”, “Songes de nuits d’été”. He is also invited to numerous concerts such as at the prestigious Polish Veterans’ House in Paris where he performed works by Frédéric Chopin.
He gave his first concert at the age of 5 and his very first piano recital at the age of 8.
