In his letter dated on 6.07.1827 and addressed to his family in Warsaw, the future composer mentioned that he had stayed in the manor house of Karol Zboiński in Kikół and played in the great room (so-called Knight Room) for the numerously gathered audience. Chopin stayed for a couple of days in Kikół to rest there on his way to Gdańsk.
