MAYA LIU

Maya Liu is a 9-year-old pianist who started learning piano at the age of four. At 5 years old, she has already passed RCM level 4 with high marks. At 7 years old, she was admitted to Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal pre-conservatoire program. Since she began her studies, she has participated in numerous local and national competitions and received awards. She won the Grand Prix in the all instruments group of 2024 Classival Music Competition and was invited to perform in the local concert. She also garnered Grand Prix in piano category of the Vincent-d’Indy Music Competition 2024. She won 2e Prix in piano category of Montreal Classical Music Festival 2024 and 3e Prix in Montreal Classical Music Festival 2023.

In addition to playing piano, Maya is also playing violin and won 2e Prix in violin category of Montreal Classical Music Festival 2024. She has a lot of passions for reading and swimming. She is also a competitive swimmer in the swimming team.
