Piano Competition 2026
List of participants in alphabetical order qualified for the 33rd International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia

We are delighted to announce that the Qualification Committee has completed the evaluation of applications for the 33rd Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia. This year’s edition saw an impressive 106 applications from talented pianists from all over the world. The number of applications in each category is as follows: Group I – 28 applications, Group II – 42 applications, and Group III – 36 applications.
Based on a thorough analysis of the submitted video recordings and application documents, the final list of participants has been selected. In accordance with the competition regulations, 55 pianists have been qualified for the final. The members of the Committee emphasize that the artistic level of the submitted performances was high and very well-balanced. Furthermore, a reserve list of 5 pianists has been prepared. These individuals will be qualified to participate – in the order presented – in the event of a withdrawal by any participant from the main list.
Participants in each age category will perform in alphabetical order, starting from the letter drawn by the Competition Committee, which is the letter: U. During the competition auditions, participants will perform on a Steinway & Sons piano, model A 188 ep.
We would also like to remind you that, pursuant to sections 11-13 of the Rules of the 32nd International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, all qualified participants are required to pay an entry fee of PLN 200 or EUR 50 to the Center’s account. Detailed bank transfer information can be found in the aforementioned Rules. The deadline for payment of the entry fee is April 10, 2026. Participants will receive detailed information, including a letter confirming qualification, visa invitations, schedule, etc., by April 10.
