ZUZANNA WOJDAK
Born on July 7, 2011, she started her music education at the Primary Music School in Żegocina in Maciej Pierzchała’s class. Since 2022, she has continued her studies under the guidance of Olga Łazarska – currently at the Wł. Żeleński Secondary Music School in Krakow. She is a laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions. Her most significant achievements include:
Competitions:
– 1st place in the second age group and a special prize for the best performance of Chopin’s Mazurka at the 29th Chopin Piano Competition in Szafarnia (May 2022)
– 1st place in the first age group and the Audience Award at the Madrid International Piano Competition (Madrid, September 2023)
– Grand Prix of the National Piano Competition in Memory of Halina Czerny-Stefańska in Żagań (February 2024) and a special prize for the best performance of a Bach piece
– Grand Prix at the National Piano Competition „Dancing Piano” in Inowrocław, and special prizes for the best performance of a baroque and national dance (April 2024)
– 1st place at the XVII National Piano Competition in Płock (November 2024)
– 1st place at the XXXII International Chopin Festival in Mazovia (November 2024)
She has performed several times at the Birthplace of Fryderyk Chopin in Żelazowa Wola as part of the „Kwadransy Muzyczne” (Musical Quarters) series. In November 2022, she took part in the first „Chopin Marathon” of Polish Radio Chopin at the Witold Lutosławski Studio in Warsaw. As part of her special prizes, she has performed in Budapest – invited by the Gyorgy Ferenczy Foundation, in Wrocław at the Music and Literature Club, and at the Stefańscy Salon in Kraków. In June 2024, she took part in the „Chopin en Vacances” project (piano recitals in the manors and landscapes of Poland). In October 2024, she was invited by the Chopin Society Hamburg-Sachsenwald to perform a recital as part of the Nocturne Festival at Gut Schönau. She has also performed as a soloist several times, playing piano concertos with orchestras – as part of the „Bieszczady without Borders” MFP (2021 – J.S. Bach’s Concerto in G minor BWV 1058, part I; 2023 – J.S. Bach’s Concerto in A major BWV 1055, part 3; 2024 – Chopin’s Concerto in E minor Op. 11, part 3).
In May 2023, she performed Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G minor Op. 25 with the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Pedagogy in Kraków. In October 2024, she debuted at the Krakow Philharmonic as part of the Ars Amanda project, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto in C major Op. 15 with the Symphony Orchestra of the Krakow Philharmonic, with her own cadenza.
In addition to classical music, she loves improvising and performing light music pieces.
