YUAN LINDA
Linda Yuan started playing the piano at the age of 4 and has been taking piano lessons with Uwe Balser at the Musik- und Singschule Heidelberg since 2018. She is currently a junior student with Professor Roland Krüger at the IFF of Hochschule für Musik Theater und Medien Hannover (HMTMH) and further with Professor Matthias Kirschnereit in the YARO network at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock.
Linda has won over 30 first prizes and special prizes in national and international competitions, including the Henle Piano Competition Munich, the International Piano Competition WPTA Singapore, the International Carl Maria von Weber Competition Dresden, the Kleiner Robert Schumann Wettbewerb Zwickau, the International MozArte Competition Aachen, the International Robert Schumann Competition Düsseldorf, the Steinway Competition Hamburg, the Bechstein Competition Berlin, the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend musiziert, the WDR 3 Klassikpreis der Stadt Münster, the International Franz Liszt Competition Weimar, and the Broumov Key Czech Republic.
With a scholarship from the Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben and a scholarship at the Musikakademie in Liechtenstein, Linda is also supported by the Förderstiftung der Musikschule Heidelberg. In 2024, with a full scholarship for one month, she successfully participated with solo performances and chamber music in the “28th Morningside Music Bridge” festival at the New England Conservatory in Boston, USA.
Linda has gained inspiration through master classes with renowned pianists such as Arie Vardi, Dang Thai Son, HaeSun Paik, Piotr Paleczynski, Krzysztof Jabłoński, Jay Peng Chieh Sun, Xiaohan Wang, Rudolf Meister, and others. Her performances at the Semperoper Dresden, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Casals Forum Kronberg, Palais Prinz Carl Heidelberg, Jordan Hall NEC Boston, Weimarhalle, Konzerthaus Berlin, and the Polish Embassy in Prague have received very positive audience reviews. She made her debut at the age of 10 with her first solo concert and has been invited to music festivals such as the “Cannstatter Klavierfrühling” festival in Stuttgart, the Zathe Za poklady Broumovska Festivalpoklady Broumovska Festival in the Czech Republic, the Bonner Robert Schumannfest, the Liszt Festival Schillingsfürst, and more.
Beyond playing the piano, Linda enjoys reading, traveling, dancing, and swimming.
